Same-sex couples with children

A couple with children is made up of two people who live together, with or without being married or in a registered partnership, with at least one child under the age of 25 living at home who is the legal child of one or both of the parents.

This includes both children who have been adopted or who were born into the family, and children born from a previous relationship of one of the parents (stepchildren).
