Quasi-transit trade

This term refers to goods that are transported across Dutch territory on their way from one country to another, entering or leaving the EU via the Netherlands, while remaining in the ownership of a person or entity located outside the Netherlands. This flow of goods is in-cluded in trade statistics under the concept of ‘border crossing’. Because these goods are never owned by an person or entity in the Netherlands, the concept of transfer of owner-ship is not applicable.
