This concerns the import tariffs that the European Commission is currently considering in retaliation for the US’s decision to increase its imports tariffs on aluminium and steel, taken on 12 March 2025. It would include reinstating the EU import tariffs imposed during President Trump's first term. The decision on whether to reinstate European import tariffs on US goods has been postponed to allow time for negotiations.
