Farms that cultivate flower bulbs

The sum of underlying compents may be larger than the total for the whole group, because farms may be active in multiple activities (growing tulips and/or daffodils). Those farms were included for each individual activity, but only once in the total calculation.

The regional classification of farms in the Agricultural Census is based on the primary business location. As a result, the region to which agricultural activities (raising livestock, cultivating crops) are attributed may differ from the location where these activities actually take place. For this article, the actual locations of fields where flower bulbs are cultivatedA were taken into account. As a result, the acreages for the groups of agricultural areas in this article differ from those published in the tables on Statline.
