The installed capacity of solar installations in the Netherlands is calculated by combining data from a number of registrations (PIR, Certiq, VAT, the Netherlands Enterprise Agency (RVO) and energy-saving investment credit figures). The analysis of these data was not yet complete for 2020. That is why the provisional figure established by CBS in February, based on data from CertiQ (large-scale systems) and its own estimate for small-scale systems, has been used.
