This news release still compares figures with the long-term precipitation averages for the period 1981-2010 of the Royal Netherlands Meteorological Institute (KNMI). KNMI calculates a new long-term average every ten years. With effect from the statistical year 2021, a comparison will be made with the new long-term averages for 1991-2020.
