The trade figures in this news release include quasi-transit trade (foreign property) in order to allow for comparison of the Netherlands with other countries. The figures are therefore higher than in StatLine, where they do not include quasi-transit trade, but do include re-exports. Re-exports are imports and exports in which the avocados (temporarily) become Dutch property. Quasi-transit trade means the avocados remain foreign property throughout the entire transit trade process.
