Dry bulk: Solid (non-liquid) goods that are not packaged and loaded individually, such as containers or pallets, but are deposited separately in the hold of a ship. Examples include iron ore, sand, grain and coal.

Liquid bulk: Liquid goods that are not packaged and loaded individually, such as containers or pallets, but are deposited separately in the hold of a ship. Examples include crude oil, petrol, diesel and liquid chemicals.
