Who is responsible for ensuring that Statistics Netherlands (CBS) complies with the relevant legislation?
Statistics Netherlands has its own Data Protection Officer (DPO) who supervises the application of and compliance with the GDPR within the organisation. He or she keeps a record of all processing that involves personal data. The Netherlands Data Protection Authority supervises compliance with legislation concerning the protection of personal data. The CBS Data Protection Officer is an important point of contact for the Netherlands Data Protection Authority within Statistics Netherlands.
