This article is based upon the survey ICT use among households and individuals conducted by Statistics Netherlands. It is an annual survey held since 2005. Until 2012, the survey population conducted among 12 to 75-year-olds, but since 2012 over-75s are also included. The survey is held in all member states of the European Union, so the results of the Netherlands can be considered in a European perspective. The results referred to in this article were calculated on the basis of all persons in a particular age group, not only the internet users. Hence, the results cannot be compared to results in publications solely based on internet users.
