From 19 to 23 March 2018, Statistics Netherlands organised a one-week intensive statistical training together with the Indian Ministry of Statistics and Programme Implementation and the Indian Statistical Institute for a group of 27 Senior Indian Statistical Service officers.
The training in the Netherlands was part of a two-week mandatory Mid-Career Training Programme, consisting of a one-week Domestic Learning Component on “Recent Developments in Survey Methodology” and a one-week Overseas Learning Component (OLC) on “Recent Developments in International Statistical Systems”. The training covered mixed-mode survey design, modern data collection methods and the use of register data in official social, business and economic statistics as well as implementation of a successful communication strategy. This included a one-day training at the premises of and in cooperation with the University of Utrecht.
A second group of senior Indian Statistical Service officers will be trained at Statistics Netherlands from 14 – 18 May 2018.
