Statistics of Finances of Enterprises
What is the condition of the non-financial sector in the Netherlands? To answer these and other questions, Statistics Netherlands (CBS) collects data on the financial situation of companies. Your data are indispensable for this. The government and international organisations use these data to determine their policies.
The annual results of these statistics are based on two sources:
- For enterprises in the non-financial sector in the Netherlands with a balance sheet total of 40 million euro or more, results are based on an annual survey.
- For enterprises in the non-financial sector in the Netherlands with a balance sheet total of less than 40 million euro, Statistics Netherlands uses the corporation tax database of the Ministry of Finance.
Supplying data
If you have received a letter from CBS, you can fill in the data via a secure internet connection and send it to us. Go to https://antwoord.cbs.nl and use the login details you received by letter to explore the new questionnaire. This will enable you to see which data you will be asked to fill in. You can also submit test reports to CBS. If you no longer have the login details, please request Request new codes.

Obligatory data delivery
As required by the Statistics Netherlands’ law, Statistics Netherland uses as much data as possible from other institutions' files. We examine the usability, timeliness and completeness of the data. If the files do not contain the required data or do not contain it in time, we may request the data from businesses. Under the Law, you are obliged to deliver the requested data on time, completely and free of charge. Failure to do so may cost you money via a fine or an administrative penalty.
