Dutch private sector

The private sector in the Netherlands comprises all companies listed in the Standard Industrial Classifications (Dutch SBI 2008) codes B up to and including N but excluding K, plus S95. This demarcation is referred to internationally as the ‘non-financial business economy’.

This category is composed of the following branches of industry:

D Electricity, gas, steam and air conditioning supply
E Water supply; sewerage, waste management and remediation activities
F Construction
G Wholesale and retail trade; repair of motor vehicles and motorcycles
H Transportation and storage
I Accommodation and food service activities
J Information and communication
L Real estate activities
M Consultancy, research and other specialised business services
N Administrative and support service activities
S95 Repair of computers and consumer goods
