The emission intensity of the Dutch economy is equal to the amount of emissions per euro of gross domestic product (GDP, value price level 2010). In order to be consistent in the calculation of emission intensity of the various greenhouse gases, the IPCC emission values have been converted according to the definitions of the Environmental Accounts, in line with the definitions of the National Accounts which are applied in the calculation of GDP.
