Migrants

The CBS Migration monitor (Migrantenmonitor) contains data on people who were born in one of the EU-27 member or candidate countries, are registered as residents in the Dutch BRP register and/or are working and/or receiving social benefits in the Netherlands. BRP registration is not compulsory for seasonal workers.
The above definition differs from the one used in CBS' mainstream demographic statistics, which only includes migrants who are registered as residents in a Dutch municipality. This study does not take into account migrants who are not included in the BRP register, are not employed and/or receiving social benefits. A person must have income from labour to be called employed. This study does not take into account the level of income or any other sources of income.
