From social security to employment

This survey deals with all persons who were receiving social security benefits on 31 December 2012 and were born in or after December 1948. Persons born prior to 1 December 1948 are automatically entitled to old age pension in 2013 and are not included in this survey.
In this survey, finding employment means that someone’s social security benefit is stopped because they have found employment in the Netherlands. Data are based on the policy administration system kept by the Employee Insurance Agency and on social security statistics. These sources do not provide information on the period a person does not receive social security, nor on the type of employment of the person involved.
