Electricity production

Central production: production of electricity by thermal or nuclear power plants that supply the national high voltage grid. Thermal plants generate electricity by burning fuels such as natural gas, coal or biomass. Nuclear plants generate electricity through the heat released during the nuclear fission in a nuclear reactor.

Decentralised production: production of electricity by thermal plants that supply an industrial grid or public low and medium voltage grids, plus all electricity generated from wind energy, hydro-energy and solar energy.
