Hospital patients chronic enteritis

The number of persons admitted in hospital once or several times a year for in-patient or out-patient treatment of chronic enteritis has risen. The number of persons admitted in hospital for the first time in five years for in-patient or out-patient treatment has also risen; see StatLine, Ziekenhuispatiënten.
The total number of persons in the Dutch population diagnosed for chronic enteritis has increased between 1997 and 2007; see Nationaal Kompas.
The National Institute of Public Health and the Environment (RIVM) estimated the total number of persons diagnosed for chronic enteritis in the Netherlands at approximately 50 thousand in 2007.
