Sharp drop in private sector investments

In September 2012, the volume of private sector investments in tangible fixed assets was 8.5 percent down on September 2011. The decrease was much more substantial than in August, when private sector investments were 3 percent lower than one year previously.

Figures on private sector investments are not adjusted for the effect of the number of working days. September had two working days fewer than in 2011. August 2012 had the same number of working days as August 2011.

According to November’s Investment Radar, the investment climate deteriorated.
