Zero growth private sector investments

The volume of private sector investments in tangible fixed assets was about the same in August 2012 as in August 2011. In July, private sector investments were nearly 1 percent up on one year previously. Investments in the construction sector fell in August, but to a lesser extent than in the previous month. On the other hand, other investments increased, but also by less than in July.

Figures on private sector investments are not adjusted for the effects of the number of working days. August 2012 had the same number of working days as August 2011. July had one working day more in 2012 than in 2011.

In October’s Investment Radar, improvements and deteriorations balanced each other out.
