Unemployment slightly lower

Seasonally adjusted unemployment in the Netherlands stood at 469 thousand in February 2012, i.e. 5 thousand below the level in January 2012. In January, unemployment had still increased.

The unemployment rate in the Dutch labour force was 6.0 percent in February. The rate for men was marginally lower and the rate for women marginally higher. With 11.9 percent, the unemployment rate was highest in the age category 15-24.
