These are nursing professionals registered in the Dutch register Beroepen in de Individuele Gezondheidszorg (BIG). The register includes all registered nursing professionals trained at mbo level 4 and hbo level 5. A valid registration is compulsory for anyone working as a nurse in Dutch health care. For the current analysis the data from this register were enriched with individual and work-related data from the SSB Social Statistical data at Statistics Netherlands.
