In September, business services providers anticipating turnover growth during the next three months outnumbered those anticipating a turnover decline, but with + 19, the index was marginally lower than in August (+ 21).
Providers of business services were also less optimistic about future employment in their sector than in August. Nevertheless, the number of business services providers expecting to recruit staff in the next three months was still marginally higher than those anticipating layoffs.
Providers of business services were much more pessimistic in September about the economic climate than in August. The number of business services providers expecting prices to increase over the next three months equalled those expecting price drops.
