A special relation between the various elements of the landscape, e.g. nature (flora and fauna), elevations and depressions (stream valleys and dwelling mounds), land use (agriculture and water management) and buildings (village views and fortresses). National Landscape areas are not museums, but rather areas where people live, work and engage in business and recreational activities. The government at the national and provincial level designates particular areas as National Landscapes.
