In the budget appendix of the coalition agreement of the VVD (liberal party) and the CDA (Christian Democratic party) agreed on a structural budget cut for over-30 mbo students to the amount of 170 million euro. If the plans materialise, this category of older students will have to pay all the costs of their education themselves unless, for example, their employer is prepared to make a financial contribution.
