Gender pay gap

The wage gap between the genders is often explained on the basis of the so-called Gender Pay Gap. The Gender Pay Gap is one of the structural indicators defined by the European Committee.
The Gender Pay Gap is used to express the gross hourly wage of women as a percentage of the gross hourly wage of men. Data are based on the Employment and Wages Survey (SWL) and refer to the entire year.
