In March 2010, the government decided not to present the bill on abolition of sufferance tax on cables and pipelines to the House of Representatives. This may mean that municipal tax revenues could be higher than foreseen if municipalities had taken this abolition into account, not included the revenues in their budgets, and decide to impose the tax after all.
