A marriage between a person living in the Netherlands and a person who immigrates especially for the purpose of marriage. A marriage in which one partner arrives in the Netherlands in the year of marriage or after the year of marriage, and the other partner lived in the Netherlands before the year of marriage is counted as a migration marriage.
