Night spent at a hotel during a business trip, e.g. to attend a congress, visit business relations, or during a secondment. These figures are based on the accommodation survey. Owners of businesses providing lodging accommodation are asked for the number of guests and the number of nights spent by nationality, and for the share of business-related nights spent in their accommodation. As the business–related nights are sometimes based on an estimate, the figures are subject to a larger margin of error than usual. Therefore figures are presented in millions, to one decimal.
