The OM will decide whether a suspect must be prosecuted on the basis of a criminal investigation. The OM may decide to refrain from prosecution and dismiss the case. The OM may also decide to settle the case to prevent prosecution. If the OM decides to prosecute the suspect, in which case he/she will be summoned and will have to appear in court.
