Work-disabled

Data on the work-disabled labour force are based on the Labour Force Survey (EBB). All survey participants in the age category 15-65 are asked whether they suffer from a chronic illness, disorder or disablement.

Those who answer affirmatively are invited to describe the nature of their disorder(s). The next question refers to whether they think their chronic disorder constitutes an impediment to finding a job or doing paid work. Respondents who answer affirmatively are defined as work-disabled.
