The number of people living in nursing and care homes is the number of people aged over 65 living in these homes on 31 December. The number of patients receiving home care is the number of people older than 65 years who had received long-term or short-term care at home in the course of the year concerned. It is not, therefore, the number of people receiving home care on one particular date.
