Until 2006, POLS asked respondents whether they were insured under the state-funded health insurance scheme, or had private health insurance. Since the new health insurance system was introduced in 2006, this distinction no longer exists. In 2006, respondents were asked how they had been insured in 2005. This makes it possible to compare the two groups.
