Hairdressing salons and beauty parlours attract more customers

In the first quarter of 2007, the number of visits to hairdressing salons and beauty parlours increased by 3.5 percent relative to the same period last year. The number of treatments has risen since the third quarter of 2006, putting an end to the recent downward trend.

Turnover of hairdressing salons and beauty parlours improved by 6.8 percent in the first quarter of 2007. Last year’s turnover increase was 3.1 percent. This is mainly due to higher prices. In 2006 prices were on average 3.2 percent higher than in 2005.
