Urbanised neighbourhoods

The number of addresses in a particular neighbourhood, municipal district or municipality is the average number of addresses per square kilometre within a radius of 1 kilometre on 1 January of the year under review.

Neighbourhoods, municipal districts or municipalities are divided according to their degree of urbanisation:

  1. very high degree of urbanisation: 2,500 or more addresses per square kilometre
  2. high degree of urbanisation: 1,500 to 2,500 addresses per square kilometre
  3. moderate degree of urbanisation: 1,000 to 1,500 addresses per square kilometre
  4. low degree of urbanisation: 500 to 1,000 addresses per square kilometre
  5. very low degree of urbanisation: fewer than 500 addresses per square kilometre.
