Information concerns the population of active employers, employer births and deaths, broken down by legal form and by the National Classification of Economic Activity 2008 (NCEA 2008, based on NACE Rev 2.0). Data also includes persons employed and employees in these enterprises.

Employer enterprise deaths
An employer enterprise has ceased to exist when, after a period with at least 0.5 FTE per year of labour force on the payroll (excl. the managing director), there is less than 0.5 FTE per year of labour force on the payroll. This does not necessarily coincide with the enterprise's death; it may be that an enterprise no longer has employees, but still continues to carry out economic activities.
