Hospital
Hospital admissions in 1 year
Excluded are admissions related to childbirth, transfers to and from other institutions and persons who die during admission in hospital. Hence, the figures presented are lower and do not reflect the actual number of hospital admissions. A hospital admission is defined as at least one overnight stay in hospital.
% Persons admitted
Refers to the percentage of people in the population who were at least once admitted in hospital in a period of 12 months prior to the time of the survey.
Number of admissions per 100 persons
Refers to the annual number of admissions per 100 persons in the population.
Number of admissions per 100 patients
Refers to the number of admissions per 100 persons who were at least once admitted in hospital in a period of 12 months prior to the time of the survey.
