The provisional outcomes between January 2021 and August 2022 were set out in an article published on 31 October 2022. These data show that the difference in the inflation rate between the current method and the adjusted method can amount to a few percentage points. Because the data used were not yet complete, it was only possible to share a range of outcomes from the new method, rather than a precise estimate. On 2 March 2023, the article ‘CBS introduces new energy price measurement method’ was published, containing provisional results for the period January 2020 to December 2022 inclusive.
