Food industry raises prices substantially

Factory gate prices of Dutch food products on the domestic market were nearly 10 percent higher in July than twelve months previously. This is the largest increase since the early nineties.
Prices of animal and vegetable oils rose by most: 27 percent. Dairy products also cost more, among other things as a consequence of the extreme price increases of milk and cream solids of more than 80 percent. Animal feed prices went up by 23 percent. Meat prices, on the other hand, fell by 2 percent.
