24-12-2009Web magazine The average life expectancy of people living in households with incomes below the poverty line is approximately 5 years shorter than the life expectancy of higher incomes. The healthy life expectancy of higher incomes is no less than 14 years longer.

23-12-2009Economic monitor Household spending on goods and services was 2.6 percent lower in October 2009 than in October 2008. in September spending was down by 3.0 percent. Household consumption was down on 2008 for the tenth consecutive month.

Domestic household consumption has been lower than one year previously for the last seven months, but the decline has slowed down.
