This branch includes companies whose main activity consists of renting and leasing cars, other means of transport, machinery and equipment, and other movables.
IT services
These include companies that supply hardware and software, install and maintain computer systems and provide advice and support in this area. Apart from its annual survey, Statistics Netherlands also publishes quarterly figures on this branch.
Research and development (R&D)
Statistics Netherlands publishes annual data on companies whose main activity is research and development.
Other business services
This sector includes legal services, accountants, business consultancies, architects, engineers, advertising agencies, temp agencies, security firms, cleaners, inspection services and auctions. In addition to annual figures, Statistics Netherlands also publishes quarterly turnover indices and developments (from 2003 onwards). Quarterly data on temp agencies are also available for earlier years.
