Data on employment and wages in the services sector can be found under the theme Labour and social security.
More information about value added in services can be found under the theme Macro-economics.
Energy consumption and costs of services companies are observed on the basis of sample surveys (theme Manufacturing and energy).
The theme Prices includes index figures on car lease prices. The price index of new lease contracts gives an insight into the latest car lease prices, while the price index of existing contracts shows how average prices have changed for the total operational fleet of leased cars.
Statistics Netherlands also publishes data on non-commercial services. The health and welfare sector accounts for a major part of non-commercial services (see theme Health and welfare). Once every two years, the activities and finances of modern art agencies – including art libraries, art galleries and art dealers - are surveyed (see theme Leisure and culture).
Data on financial institutions and markets are included in the dossier Business cycle and the theme Macro-economics. More figures on financial institutions and markets can be found on the websites of the European Central Bank, Eurostat, De Nederlandsche Bank (DNB) and the land registry (Kadaster). The latter publishes recent figures on house mortgages; Statistics Netherlands’ mortgage statistics are available up to 2003.
