Decline dominates investments climate
May’s Investment Radar showed more downturns than improvements, whereas the investment climate had improved somewhat in April.
Since the publication of April’s Investment Radar, new data have become available for all indicators. Four indicators showed deterioration, two indicators showed improvements. Consumer confidence dropped further. The capacity utilisation rate for the manufacturing industry also dropped. Manufacturers were more negative about their order positions than in the preceding month and share prices declined more rapidly than one year previously. On the other hand, the growth of exports was higher than in the preceding month and the interest rate dropped marginally.
