Statistics Netherlands has grouped its statistics into a number of themes. These themes determine the structure of the information on the website and in the StatLine database. Every theme forms a complete whole.

A theme page consists of five parts:

• New (the latest releases)
• Figures (preselected entries to the StatLine database)
• Publications (press releases, articles, etc.)
• Methods (definitions)
• About this theme (the contents of the theme and the data available)

Additionally, there are so-called dossiers. The dossiers contain information from various themes and offer the most important information available on a specific topic, such as Regional statistics or People with a foreign background. Theme pages and dossiers have an identical structure.
