The Hague Leidschenveen
RandstadRail
If you wish to visit the Statistics Netherlands (CBS) office in The Hague, you can take lines 3 and 4 (The Hague - Zoetermeer) and get off at the station Leidschenveen. Take the footbridge to the entrance of the building.
Buses
There are two buse lines: line 33 (The Hague Leidschenveen - Rijswijk) operated by The Hague Public Transport Company (HTM) and line 60 (The Hague Leidschenveen - Delft) operated by Connexxion. These lines also stop at the RandstadRail station Leidschenveen.
Trams
Tram 19 (Leidschendam - Delft) has a stop underneath the RandstadRail station Leidschenveen
Train
Railway station Ypenburg is located just outside Leidschenveen. Bus line 33 and tram line 19 depart from this station. Get off at RandstadRail station Leidschenveen.
Foreign visitors travelling from Amsterdam Airport (Schiphol) to the Leidschenveen office take the train to The Hague Central Station. They leave the train at The Hague Central Station and take RandstadRail lines 3 or 4 to Leidschenveen.
Visitors from railway station Hollands Spoor can take the local train to Leiden and leave the train at the Laan van NOI railway station, where they can change to RandstadRail lines 3 or 4 and to Leidschenveen.
Heerlen
Every thirty minutes, a (combined) train bound for Heerlen/Maastricht departs from railway station Eindhoven. The train splits up in Sittard where you can change, if necessary. It takes a 10 minutes’ walk from railway station Heerlen to the Heerlen CBS office. Take the exit in northern direction and leave the station on the left side. Follow the pavement past the bus platform and continue on the Mijnmuseumpad immediately next to the railway. After a few minutes, you will see the CBS building.
Car
The Hague Leidschenveen
Leidschenveen is situated immediately next to the A4 and A12 motorways.
Coming from Amsterdam, Rotterdam and The Hague, take the exit Den Haag-Leidschenveen on the A4 motorway and follow the road direction signs Leidschenveen. After entering Leidschenveen over the Zoetermeerse Rijweg, turn right on the first roundabout. At the end of the road turn left and drive to the end of the road where you will find a parking area for visitors. Use the intercom to notify your arrival. NB: your contact at Statistics Netherlands must notify the reception desk prior to your arrival, otherwise you are not allowed to enter the parking area.
Coming from the direction Utrecht or The Hague, on the A12 motorway, take exit 5 near Nootdorp (Forepark). Follow the road direction signs Leidschenveen. Turn right at the first traffic light. After having passed the flyover, you will see the building on your left. Turn left at the traffic light and again turn left at the roundabout. At the end of the road turn left and drive to the end of the road where you will find a parking area for visitors. See above for the right procedure to enter the parking area.
Heerlen
Coming from the direction Eindhoven. At the roundabout Leenderheide, opt for the A2 (E25) motorway, direction Maastricht. At the junction Kerensheide (after 65 km), take the A76 (E314) near Geleen, direction Aachen (Germany). At the junction Ten Esschen (after 13 km), take the N281, direction Heerlen. After 3.4 km, take the exit Heerlen-centrum (see also CBS sign). At the end of the exit, turn left underneath the motorway flyover and after having passed 2 traffic lights, drive underneath the railway bridge, where the road turns left. Drive straight on at the large roundabout and turn left at the next traffic lights. You will see the CBS building on your left. After 200 m turn left for the parking area.
From the direction Maastricht.
In Maastricht take the A79 motorway direction Heerlen. Continue the motorway to the centre of Heerlen. At the edge of the centre, go left at the traffic lights, underneath the flyover to the exit and above the N281 go directly right on the exit and, after 300m at the traffic lights turn right (see CBS sign). After having passed 2 traffic lights, drive underneath the railway bridge, where the road turns left. Drive straight on at the large roundabout and turn left at the next traffic lights. You will see the CBS building on your left. After 200 m turn left for the parking area.
