Mbo levels

There are four levels of senior secondary vocational education (mbo).  Level 1 is the lowest: assistant training. Level 2 comprises basic vocational training, level 3 vocational training and level 4 (the highest level), management training and specialist training. A level-1 diploma does not count as a basic qualification for the labour market. Diplomas at all other levels are considered as basic qualifications.
