Frequent Internet users

The population aged 12-75 years in the Netherlands in 2006 comprises 12.8 million persons. Nearly 11 million of these people hade ever used the Internet. The large majority of Internet users (10.5 million) used it frequently: in the three months preceding the survey they used the Internet from at least once a month to daily.
These frequent Internet users were asked which private (i.e. not for school or work) activities they undertook on the Internet. Among other things, they could report using the Internet to:
• Read or download newspapers,
• Listen to the radio or watch a TV programme.

They were also asked:
• To what extent has the Internet and e-mail replaced your use of traditional postal services?
