The abbreviation CN stands for Combined Nomenclature. This Combined Nomenclature contains the goods classification prescribed by the European Union for international trade statistics. The CN is an 8-digit classification consisting of a further specification of the 6-digit Harmonised System. The annual changes are the result of adjustments which are necessary for customs procedures as well as official statistics.
